Julie’s Bathroom

Julie has a typical bungalow with a staircase up the middle. It was just one big unfinished space that we turned into a Master Suite. The bedroom side looks just like the bathroom side…white walls and oak floor, nothing else…so I am showing off the bathroom side!

I installed His & Hers pedestal sinks that had to be built out from the main wall. I had to double up the rafters and header them off so that the floating mirrors had enough height to enable a normal person to see their entire amazing self. A 6’5″ amazing person would still have to duck just a little to brush his hair! But a 6’5″ person would have no trouble fitting into this awesome bathtub! My first claw-foot…I hope it isn’t my last!

The water-closet gets a little extra privacy with the half wall. And of course, the signature magazine rack! Installing a claw-foot shower rod system is NOT easy with a cathedral ceiling. You can’t see it in any of these shots, but at the top of the stairs there is a 6′ closet and a 30″ linen closet between the bath side and the sleeping side.
